Se estima que la mitad de los trastornos mentales comienzan antes de los 14 a\u00f1os de edad, pero en la mayor\u00eda de los casos no se detectan ni se tratan, lo cual conlleva afectaciones en la vida cotidiana de las y los adolescentes e interfiere con su desarrollo pleno y calidad de vida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al respecto, la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud (OMS) indica que entre el 10 y el 20% de las y los adolescentes experimentan problemas de salud mental, sin embargo, \u00e9stos siguen sin ser diagnosticados ni tratados adecuadamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Las enfermedades mentales m\u00e1s frecuentes en este grupo de la poblaci\u00f3n se relacionan con depresi\u00f3n, ansiedad y consumo de sustancias, siendo unas de sus principales causas de padecimiento y discapacidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Especialistas de la Secretar\u00eda de Salud establecen que el diagn\u00f3stico oportuno, tratamiento y seguimiento adecuados, mejoran la calidad de vida y evitan que los trastornos mentales se conviertan en cr\u00f3nicos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
En los Centros Comunitarios de Salud Mental y Adicciones que se encuentran en Colima, Tecom\u00e1n y Manzanillo, se otorga la atenci\u00f3n de los problemas de salud mental de la poblaci\u00f3n colimense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
