Los accidentes automovil\u00edsticos y el suicidio son los riesgos m\u00e1s importantes y constituyen causas frecuentes de muerte entre los varones, los cuales se pueden prevenir si se adoptan o modifican h\u00e1bitos y estilos de vida, indic\u00f3 la Secretar\u00eda de Salud del Gobierno del Estado de Colima.<\/p>\n

Record\u00f3 que los accidentes automovil\u00edsticos son una causa frecuente de muerte entre hombres, por lo que para viajar seguro en la carretera se recomienda usar el cintur\u00f3n de seguridad, respetar el l\u00edmite de velocidad, no conducir bajo la influencia del alcohol u otras sustancias.<\/p>\n

Asimismo, el suicidio es otro de los riesgos de salud m\u00e1s importantes en los masculinos, siendo la depresi\u00f3n un factor de riesgo importante, por lo que, si se presentan signos y s\u00edntomas de esta situaci\u00f3n, debe hablarse con un m\u00e9dico, y si se piensa en el suicidio, hay que buscar asistencia m\u00e9dica de urgencia o acudir a la sala de emergencias m\u00e1s cercana.<\/p>\n

La dependencia estatal indic\u00f3 que la mortalidad es mayor en hombres que en mujeres, ya que ocurren tres fallecimientos en hombres de 20 a 34 a\u00f1os por cada defunci\u00f3n de mujer en el mismo rango de edad.<\/p>\n

Se\u00f1al\u00f3 que las enfermedades entre hombres y mujeres son distintas, aunque en ambos sexos las tres principales son los padecimientos del coraz\u00f3n, la diabetes y tumores malignos.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, entre los hombres la cuarta y quinta causas de morbilidad son los accidentes, las enfermedades mentales y el uso de sustancias; mientras en las mujeres las mismas posiciones son ocupadas por las enfermedades cerebrovascular y pulmonar obstructiva cr\u00f3nica (EPOC).<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n hay diferencias relacionadas con las actitudes y estilos de vida, toda vez que los hombres acuden a consulta m\u00e9dica con menos frecuencia que las mujeres, lo que se traduce en una brecha en la detecci\u00f3n de padecimientos que son prevenibles, controlables y curables.<\/p>\n
